Standing only needs your domain and your category. Everything we read is public AI output, the same answers anyone gets by asking ChatGPT or Perplexity, so we never touch your analytics, your CRM, your code, or any private account. There is nothing to connect and no logins to hand over.

How is the Recommendation Score calculated, and is it accurate?

It is how often each engine recommends you, rolled into a 0 to 100 score, with a separate reading of how the answers that name you describe you. AI answers change from one run to the next, so we sample each prompt repeatedly and re-scan over time. Treat it as a trend line rather than a fixed number: we would rather show you a real move than a flattering one.

How is this different from traditional SEO?

Traditional SEO optimizes your own pages to rank in a list of blue links. Much of what AI cites when it recommends a vendor comes from sites other than yours, so polishing your homepage alone cannot move the answer. We work on the third-party sources AI pulls from, and we measure your share of the recommendation itself, not your keyword position.

What does earning citations mean? Is it legitimate, or spam?

Earning a citation means becoming a genuine, cited source in the third-party places AI already trusts for your category. It is real answer content and honest digital PR, not bots, fake reviews, or spun posts. Gaming tends to get filtered out and can hurt you, so if a tactic could get you penalized, we will not do it.

How is Standing different from Profound or Peec?

They spend the budget on breadth and we spend it on depth. Profound and Peec track more questions than we do, 50 to 350 depending on the plan, and run each one once a day. We run a smaller basket five times per question per engine. Asking once gives you a wider view of your market; asking five times is what lets us tell you how much of a change is real. That is why we publish a confidence band on the score, hold alerts until a move clears what your domain drifts anyway, and report when an engine failed to answer instead of scoring it a zero. Neither tool ships those. If you want the widest basket refreshed every morning, they are built for that. If someone is going to ask how you know a number moved, that is what we are built for.

Track vs Optimize vs Agency, and can I cancel?

The free check tells you where you stand. Track ($100/mo) adds the fix roadmap ranked by how much citation weight each gap carries, a re-scan every Monday, the full score history, and an alert when your score moves further than this domain drifts on its own or a rival overtakes you. Optimize ($250/mo) is for when our default basket is not your market: you replace it with up to 15 of the exact questions your buyers type. Agency ($550/mo) is for people who resell this, at 50 client domains on one fixed basket, re-scanned monthly rather than weekly. All three are month to month, so you can cancel anytime.
