What is a hallucination?
A hallucination is a confident, fluent statement from a model that is not true. In a brand context it is the model getting your pricing, features or ownership wrong.
It matters commercially because the assistant does not signal uncertainty. A model inventing a pricing tier states it in the same tone as a correct fact, and the buyer has no way to tell them apart.
The mitigations are indirect: publish the facts in a form that is easy to retrieve and hard to misread, keep them consistent across your own pages and third-party listings, and make the authoritative version reachable to search crawlers. None of this is a guarantee, and anyone offering a fix rather than a reduction is overselling.
